E-FUCA: enhancement in fuzzy unequal clustering and routing for sustainable wireless sensor network

Abstract With huge cheap micro-sensing devices deployed, wireless sensor network (WSN) gathers information from the region and delivers it to base station (BS) for further decision. The hotspot problem occurs when cluster head (CH) nearer BS may die prematurely due uneven energy depletion resulting in partitioning network. To overcome issue of or hole, unequal clustering is used where variable size clusters are formed. Motivated aforesaid discussion, we propose an enhanced fuzzy routing protocol (E-FUCA) vital parameters considered during CH candidate selection, intelligent decision using logic (FL) taken by non-CH nodes selection their formation clusters. extend lifetime, have FL next-hop choice efficient routing. We conducted simulation experiments four scenarios compared propound protocol’s performance with recent similar protocols. experimental results validate improved E-FUCA its comparative respect better protracted stability period, average energy.
